The Role:
The Multi-Skilled Domestic assists in:
- Food preparation and cleaning within the kitchen area and in maintaining a high standard of hygiene.
- The cleaning of allocated areas within the hospital in compliance with established standards and protocols.
- Contributing towards a safe working environment, attending training sessions as directed.
- Maintaining a high standard of hygiene, both personal and environmental.
- Actively participate in and contribute to the hospitals Quality and safety and Work Health & Safety processes.
Key skills/requirements of the role:
- Knowledge of food safety, preparation and presentation with the ability to follow instructions.
- Demonstrated knowledge of cleaning procedures in a health-related environment, including the use of cleaning and catering equipment, together with relevant experience.
- Knowledge and understanding of workplace safety and quality improvement and the ability to apply the same to the workplace setting.
- Demonstrate sound interpersonal and communication skills, together with an understanding of the needs and comforts of clients utilising hospital services and an understanding of the need for good public relations.

The Deloraine District Hospital is located in the beautiful Meander valley district.
The Deloraine hospital is a 20-bed subacute facility with visiting associated health services. Our team strive to ensure our consumers are well cared for in a professional yet relaxing environment. All our services and team members work closely together to focus on delivering excellence in health care and to achieve improved outcomes for our consumers, our work force and the Tasmanian community.

Details of appointment:
Fixed term, casual, day worker (with on-call) position working as and when required, commencing as soon as you are able to join the team for a period of 24 months.
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar casual vacancies.
Salary: $58,184 to $59,580 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022.

You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
