The Role:
The Cardiac Physiologist will contribute to the management of patients at the Royal Hobart Hospital by providing high quality diagnostic testing in support of the Cardiology multi-disciplinary team.
The Team:
The Royal Hobart Hospital is the major provider of tertiary health services in southern Tasmania, including cardio-thoracic surgery and adult and neo-natal intensive care. The Cardiology Department provides an extensive range of high-quality diagnostic and interventional services. All our services work closely together to focus on delivering excellence in healthcare to achieve improved outcomes for our consumers, our workforce, and the Tasmanian community.
You will need:
- Broad knowledge and understanding of cardiac anatomy and physiology and cardiac rhythm interpretation.
- Demonstrated ability to work constructively both individually and in a team environment with well-developed communication skills.
- Problem-solving skills.

Details of appointment:
Permanent, part time, day worker (with on-call) position, working up to 32 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary:
$73,834 to $111,364 pro rata per annum + our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance with Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement No.2 of 2022
Salary Packaging:
You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
Allowances:
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
- Professional Development Allowance of up to $1000 per annum
Benefits available to eligible candidates:

Eligibility:
Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria.
- Undergraduate tertiary qualification in clinical physiology/biomedical science or related field
- Eligibility for registration accreditation with the Australian Council of Clinical Physiologists Board and/or eligibility for accreditation with the Australian Sonographer Accreditation Registry
