Our Aim:
Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) Tasmania is growing! We are seeking a passionate and dedicated administrative assistant to assist our teams to provide clinical services to children, young people and their families/significant others experiencing mental health concerns. We have 1 position available in services which are to be developed as initiatives under the CAMHS reform program (Youth, Youth Forensic, Out of Home Care).
The Administrative assistant will have a passion for providing a person-centred approach and working within a multidisciplinary team environment, providing high level administrative support to the team as well as supporting administration processes within the administration team.
The Role Will Include:
- Providing exceptional customer service in a reception capacity both on the phone and in person.
- Provide clerical support to Service site staff involving organising appointments, daily lists and retrieval of client files and other duties as required.
- Maintaining data entry requirements.
- Maintaining the security of the office, including the need for confidentiality of client records.
- Typing of administrative and clinical correspondence and reports.
- Assisting in the orientation of new employees.

- Ordering, maintaining and processing account payments, including cost coding functions, for stationery items, therapy resources and other office requisites.
- Undertake the administrative tasks associated with maintaining Departmental assets including buildings, equipment, and motor vehicles.

Details of Appointment
One permanent full time day worker position working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.
*notwithstanding hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant
- Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time and part time vacancies.
Salary: $64,125 - $68,925 per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022
