Job description:

The Property Officer manages a residential accommodation portfolio, including management of accommodation contracts, coordination of tenancies, furnishing, service connection, maintenance and cleaning.

The Team:

The Residential Accommodation Services team forms part of the Accommodation Services Team in the Department of Health's Infrastructure branch. This statewide team is responsible for the management and provision of all aspects of residential accommodation for staff, contractors and visitors with property officers based in the North, North West and South of the State. 

The Role:

The Property Officer manages a residential accommodation portfolio, including responsibility for the management of accommodation contracts, coordination of tenancies, furnishing, service connection, maintenance and cleaning.

The Property Officer uses high level interpersonal skills, including verbal and written communication skills to develop and maintain effective collaborative relationships with stakeholders, including real estate companies, locum agencies, staff and managers. 

High level organisational skills are critical to manage a dynamic property portfolio, and it is often necessary to use creativity, adaptability and flexibility when forming solutions and the Property Officer requires the capacity to deal with pressure and ambiguity to be successful in this role.

Details of appointment:

Permanent, full time, day worker (with on-call) position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible. 

*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Salary: 

$81,915 to $94,263 per annum + our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

  • Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022
