Job description:

The Manager - Statewide Revenue is the lead role in the Statewide Revenue Management team and supports the development and implementation of revenue management systems and strategies.

The Team:

The Statewide Revenue Management team manages revenue functions for the Department of Health with a primary focus on billing for private and compensable patients. Key areas of billing include the Medicare Benefits Schedule, Private Health Insurance, Department of Veterans Affairs and Motor Accidents Insurance Board. The team plays a key role in the development and implementation of revenue management systems and processes to ensure appropriate billing in these key areas to assist in funding the delivery of services.

The Role:

The Manager - Statewide Revenue is the lead role in the Statewide Revenue Management team and supports the development and implementation of revenue management systems and strategies. The role provides an opportunity to develop policies, procedures and processes to drive efficiency in revenue administration processes and ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulatory frameworks.

You will need:

  • Strong management and leadership skills to provide clear direction and effectively manage a large statewide team;
  • A thorough understanding of processes, legislation and regulatory frameworks relating to patient billing in health services; and
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills to build collaborative relationships with key stakeholders.

Details of appointment:

Permanent, full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.

*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.

Salary: 

$139,470 to $148,863 per annum + our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

  • Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022
