Job description:

We are seeking a motivated individual to work with our Clients in the Adult Day Centre at Central Coast Ulverstone on a permanent basis.

The Team:

The Central Coast Adult Day Centre's function is to provide social support and carer relief for older people and those with a disability living in the community. This service is important to the clients providing social interaction, activities and outings, improving their wellbeing and connectedness. There is one Bus Driver/Diversional Therapist in the Team of 4, who is responsible for transporting clients to and from the centre as well as taking them on outings.

The Role:

Would you like to work with clients to support them with social activities and outings in a group setting and do you hold a MR driver's licence and Ancillary Certificate to drive a Public Passenger Vehicle? We are seeking a motivated individual to work with our Clients in the Adult Day Centre at Central Coast Ulverstone to join the Team in a permanent capacity. You will be involved in planning and delivering group programs for those attending the centre, working with clients in a group environment supporting them in various activities and going on outings. As a Bus Driver, your responsibilities will include driving the Centre bus to pick up and drop off clients, as well as take groups on scheduled outings. When not driving the bus, you will be working with clients delivering programs and activities to enhance their wellbeing.

Details of appointment:

Permanent, part time, day worker position, working up to 15 hours per fortnight, commencing from April 2025.

*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar part time, and casual vacancies.

Salary: $67,193 to $70,993 pro rata, per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

  • Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Union Wages Agreement 2022

Allowances:

You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.

Eligibility:

Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria.

  • Hold and maintain a current Medium Rigid (MR) class Licence; and Hold and maintain an Ancillary Certificate (for driving Public Passenger vehicles)
