Job description:

Exciting opportunity for a Clinical Coordinator to join the Department of Health!

The Team:

  • The RHH is the tertiary referral centre for Tasmania, we have around 2000 births each year.
  • Work in a rewarding environment with a dynamic team of midwives
  • Looking for a dynamic Midwife who will assist in leading the MGP team

The Role:

Works in partnership with the Maternity Unit Manager (MUM) to lead the efficient and effective provision of maternity care based on best practice principles within a collaborative and multidisciplinary framework

You will need:

  1. Demonstrated highly developed leadership skills and understanding in managing and coordinating a health care service including change management.
  2. Demonstrated high level of understanding of contemporary midwifery models of care including caseload and ability to manage an efficient and effective service.
  3. Demonstrated advanced interpersonal skills including written and verbal communication together with a proven ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships as well as the ability to prevent and manage conflict.

Details of appointment:

Fixed term full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible for a period of approximately two (2) years.

*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.

Salary: $103,466 to $109,165 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

  • Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Agreement 2023

In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:

  • Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10 % based on qualification type

Eligibility:

Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria.

  • Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse/Midwife
  • Current Working with Children Registration
