Job description:

The Mersey Leven Nursing and Home Care Service (MLCN&HCS) are seeking a dedicated Associate Nurse Unit Manager to join their multidisciplinary team.

The Team:

  • Mersey-Leven Community Health Nursing and Home Care service (MLCHN& HCS) operates within a primary Health framework to deliver nursing and home care services to clients within our catchment area. Our catchment area covers from Ulverstone in the west, to Baker Beach in the East and South to Lorinna and Moina. 
  • Nursing care includes medication assistance, management of chronic and complex wounds (including Negative Pressure Wound Therapy), management of venous access devices (PIVC/CVAD), indwelling and suprapubic catheter changes and management, palliative care (including syringe driver management), post-acute care following discharge from hospital and medication management including support and management of medication via various routes and devices.

The Role:

The Mersey Leven Nursing and Home Care Service (MLCN&HCS) are seeking a dedicated Associate Nurse Unit Manager to join their multidisciplinary team.

The Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) is an experienced nurse who, within the defined area of practice:

  • Works in partnership with the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) and other senior staff, to ensure the efficient and effective provision of care based on best practice principles within a collaborative and multidisciplinary framework.
  • Assists the NUM with the planning and management of staff and resources and provides operational leadership through the coordination of the day to day patient care activities, including patient flow.

Details of appointment:

Permanent, part time, day worker position, working 32 hours per fortnight, commencing March 2025. 

*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.

Salary: $106,570 to $112,440 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

  • Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Agreement 2023

In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:

  • Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10 % based on qualification type

Eligibility:

Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria.

  • Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse
  • Current Working with Children Registration (where applicable and as determined by individual position requirements)

  • Current Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (where applicable and as determined by individual position requirements)

*As required by the Commonwealth Home Support Program and/or the Aged Care Act, occupants of this role are required to undertake a conviction check assessment every three years.
