- Millbrook Rise Centre is a 27-bed facility, we are a consumer-focused service with a focus on rehabilitation and recovery located in the beautiful Derwent Valley.
- New Norfolk is a picturesque 35-minute drive up the river Derwent from Hobart with free parking on site. The Derwent Valley is the gateway to some of Tasmania's sought after experiences such as wineries, beautiful waterfalls, ski fields and the popular Maydena Mountain Bike Park.

The Role:
As part of a multidisciplinary team delivering high quality mental health services in accordance with the primary health care principles, Agency policy and direction, legal requirements, and relevant professional competencies. The Clinical Nurse Consultant will help provide effective management of human and physical resources, and leadership and direction in the strategic development and management of a comprehensive multidisciplinary inpatient mental health team.
You will need
- Actively contribute to the clinical leadership and management of a multidisciplinary inpatient mental health team, providing a high quality, comprehensive, specialist mental health service in accordance with principles and goals, and the associated model of care and relevant service policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Support the relevant NUM/ADON by assuming a lead role in the oversight of designated clinical processes associated with the optimal operation of an inpatient mental health team, including intake, crisis response, interim support, case management and general team coordination.
- Provide clinical leadership and expert knowledge in all aspects of inpatient care.

Details of appointment:
Permanent full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary: $114,851 to $121,886 per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
- Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10 % based on qualification type
Salary Packaging:
You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
Benefits available to eligible candidates:
- Payment of $15,000 staged over three years is available for Nurses and Midwives who move to Tasmania from interstate and remain employed full time for three years or more, on top of relocation allowance already available.
- Travel and relocation assistance support available up to $15,000 for eligible appointees from overseas, and up to $10,000 for appointees from interstate.
