Job description:

Join the Occupational Therapy Service at the Royal Hobart Hospital, the largest teaching Hospital in Tasmania. The team consists of over 90 team members which includes occupational therapists and assistants, play specialists, diversional therapists, a carpenter, and administration officers.

The Team:

Join the Occupational Therapy Service at the Royal Hobart Hospital, the largest teaching Hospital in Tasmania. The team consists of over 90 team members which includes occupational therapists and assistants, play specialists, diversional therapists, a carpenter, and administration officers.

The Role:

Enhance the capacity and efficiency of Occupational Therapy Services by assisting the Occupational Therapist in the planning and implementation of treatment programs for referred patients under the supervision and delegation of an allied health professional.

Work as a member of the Acute Occupational Therapy Team and exercise initiative and independent judgement under the guidelines described in the Allied Health Assistant Supervision and Delegation Framework.

Details of appointment:

Permanent, part time, day worker position, working 45.6 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.

*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.

Salary: 

$67,193 to $70,993 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

  • Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022

You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.

Eligibility:

Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable:

  • Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance (Occupational Therapy)
  • Current Driver’s Licence
