Job description:

The Department of Health (DoH) are seeking competent Administrative Assistant to perform comprehensive reception and administrative duties that support the efficient delivery of clinical services by the Alcohol and Drug Service Unit Office in the South.

The Team:

Alcohol and Drug Services (ADS) is a part of the Department of Health (DOH) that cares for the needs of clients accessing treatment Alcohol and other Drugs in Southern Tasmania. The service operates on a Multidisciplinary team model of care, all our services work closely together to focus on delivering excellence in healthcare to achieve improved outcomes for our consumers, our workforce, and the Tasmanian community.

The Role:

To perform comprehensive reception and administrative duties that support the efficient delivery of clinical services by the Alcohol and Drug Service Unit Office.

You will need to

  • Provide a high-level confidential telephone and face-to-face reception service. 
    This includes:
                         Answering all client, staff and public enquiries
                         Providing clients with accurate and appropriate information
  • Perform administrative support duties that assist clinical staff in providing appropriate and timely client care
  • Perform computer based administrative support including data entry and word processing

Details of appointment:

Permanent full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.

*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.

Salary: $66,049 to $70,993 per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

  • Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022.

Salary Packaging 

You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
