The Team:
The Royal Hobart Hospital seeks a highly motivated and team orientated Administrative Officer for coordination and support of the Multidisciplinary Teams services for Oncology and Blood Services Hobart, Tasmania. The Multidisciplinary team for Oncology and Blood Services Outpatient at the Royal Hobart Hospital include staff specialists and specialist nurses within surgical and cancer services who provide diagnosis, treatment options and follow up care to patients with a cancer or a haematological diagnosis. Multidisciplinary teams encompass medical oncology, malignant and non-malignant haematology, breast and gynae-oncology, radiation oncology, ear, nose & throat and oral & maxillofacial oncology, lung, colorectal and Genitourinary oncology.

The Role:
Under the guidance and supervision of the Administrative Services manager for Cancer Services the Administrative Officer – MDT will:
- Provide efficient and effective clerical and administrative support for Multi-Disciplinary Teams (MDT), including agenda and minute generation.
- Document patients presented at MDT meetings and coordinate the Medicare billing for the Consultant medical staff.
You will need:
- Undertake medical and audio typing, minute taking and documentation, report and correspondence preparation from dictation or draft form and maintain appropriate records for audit.
- Coordinate referrals to meetings with guidance from meeting chairperson.
- Record MDT patient discussion and recommendations and distribute summaries of discussions to all MDT members and General Practitioners.

Details of appointment: General Stream, Band 3
Permanent, full time, day worker position, working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary: $73,811 to $79,779 per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022.
