The Role:
Provide leadership, direction, support and authoritative advice to the ER and HR staff, case manage the team’s work program and direct activities.
Lead and case manage the provision of high-level specialist advice regarding a broad range of ER services and facilitate solutions for and with relevant stakeholders, including leading the implementation of new ER initiatives.
Provide authoritative advice on strategic employee and workplace relations matters to the ER and HR Manager, Chief Executive, Secretary and other internal and external stakeholders as required.
Represent the Department in external and industrial forums, lead ER and HR staff in their representation.
In support of the Director - ER, lead the development and implementation of strategic and best practice ER projects, including:
- Identifying and reporting potential systemic issues.
- Identifying and reporting patterns of behaviour and concern.
- Developing and providing training education to ER and HR staff on ER best practice and a trauma informed approach.
Lead the case management of complex enquiries and preparation of high-level correspondence, documentation and reports

Details of appointment:
Permanent, full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing from as soon as possible.
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary: $128,102 to $134,832 per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022

Eligibility:
Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable:
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant field or equivalent experience in the delivery of ER services, preferably in a health/hospital setting
