The Team:
The Mersey Community Hospital delivers a wide range of specialist outpatient clinic services in a newly built department. The committed Outpatient team work closely with speciality services to plan, coordinate and deliver outpatient care for local, regional and statewide services.
The Role:
The Mersey Community Hospital are seeking a dedicated Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) to join their team in Outpatients.
The Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) is an experienced nurse who, within the defined area of practice:
- Works in partnership with the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) and other senior staff, to ensure the efficient and effective provision of care based on best practice principles within a collaborative and multidisciplinary framework.
- Assists the NUM with the planning and management of staff and resources and provides operational leadership through the coordination of the day-to-day patient care activities, including patient flow.

Details of appointment:
Permanent, part time, day worker position, working up to 60 hours per fortnight.
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary: $106,570 to $112,440 pro rata, per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
- Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10 % based on qualification type
Salary Packaging:
You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
