The Team:
The Environmental Clean Team is a small and diverse team of cleaners who provide high standard infection control cleaning service across the Launceston General Hospital. The E Team role focuses on discharge cleaning for infectious patient rooms and act to reduce the risk of transmitting infections.
The Role:
Perform defined infection control cleaning tasks across the hospital wearing appropriate protective clothing using cleaning equipment/chemicals, including correct maintenance and use of equipment and chemicals.
- Demonstrated sound knowledge and understanding of contemporary cleaning practices, including an understanding of practices relating to infection control cleaning and the type of isolation/precautions required.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision with well developed organisational skills and ability to exercise a high level of initiative, judgement, confidentiality and discretion
- Ability to provide direction, training and support to less experienced staff.

Details of appointment:
Fixed term, casual, position working as and when required, commencing as soon as possible for approximately 12 months.
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary: $62,486 to $65,119 pro rata, per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022.
