Period of employment / Hours:
Permanent full-time (76.00 hours per fortnight) day work (part-time hours may be considered by negotiation)

Duties:
Primary Purpose / Focus :
- Provide key support to Business and Financial Services in regard to the delivery of Homes Tasmania capital program reporting, including but not limited to coordinating, integrating, and analysing financial information on capital programs and individual capital projects for budgetary and compliance purposes.
- Assist the Financial Reporting Team with the preparation of periodic and annual financial reports, including the development and implementation of complex reconciliations and workpapers that support the financial reporting process.
- Ensure that relevant financial systems accurately reflect asset transactions undertaken by the organisation in a timely manner and in accordance with legislative/compliance requirements, especially regarding compliance with relevant accounting standards.
- Assist with the provision of business services and management reporting to the Board and stakeholders.
Skills and experience :
Selection criteria includes:
- In-depth experience in, and understanding of, general financial and budgetary processes as well as specific technical expertise in the financial reporting of fixed assets.
- Well-developed conceptual, analytical, creative and research skills, with the ability to provide specific technical advice on asset reporting while being cognisant of the organisational environment and stakeholder requirements.
- Demonstrated initiative and self-motivation, along with the capacity to think creatively.

Desirable Requirements:
- Holds a Certified Practising Accountant/Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia membership or working towards this goal.
