Clinical Lead Physiotherapist – AHP Level 4 – Musculoskeletal
Fixed term, Full time, 76h per fortnight
Tasmanian Health Service – North (Launceston General Hospital)
To be Tasmanian is to move towards what's different rather than the same; to better, not more. We create, preserve, and protect the unusual. With quiet confidence, with passion and perseverance, we pursue the extraordinary. Could you be Tasmanian?
You’ve established yourself as a leader in your craft, providing best-practice musculoskeletal physio care to a range of patients, and sharing your skills with the team as you go. And you could do this anywhere. What’s different about Tasmania is our culture and our lifestyle. Here you will be encouraged to be yourself, to continue to learn and grow, and to develop meaning in your work. You will have a powerful connection to your patients, and you’ll be a champion of our profession in multi-disciplinary, team-based environments. Our isolation helps drive a culture of creation and human connection, which feels both old fashioned and… like the only future worth pursuing.
Our way of life here is centred on meaning. Creating, conserving, exploring, connecting. We don't sit in traffic at the end of the day, we spend more of our time doing the things we love. We are small enough here for uniqueness to stand out and be celebrated. Yet we are big enough for you to feel part of something important, somewhere you can belong and be surrounded by diversity, friendships, and positive lifestyles. Tasmanians are connected to the land where we live, and to the stories of the people who have cared for this place for thousands of years.
We offer an exciting and rewarding place to work, featuring contemporary, evidence-informed practice that sees our Physiotherapists closely linked to the broader multidisciplinary team, both at work, and through our social activities. We are a team of some 80 staff, a mix of passionate locals and new Tasmanian adventurers who will welcome your energy and experiences into the group dynamic. Here, you can work and learn alongside highly accomplished Physios like Ianthe Boden, John Cannell and Jane Lockstone, while making a difference to the lives of a diverse and inclusive community.
This important role will see you leading the genuinely life changing services we provide within the musculoskeletal field; from our outpatient musculoskeletal and hand therapy clinics, through to our Emergency Medical Unit and Primary Contact Physiotherapy Emergency Department services. You will inspire an engaged group, who will be keen to grow from your knowledge and experiences. Everything that we do is directed towards ensuring that our community members receive high quality care from skilled professionals, and you will play a large role in this mission. As a team, we’ll be committed to seeing you thrive. We’ll look after you from the beginning, ensuring you are fully welcomed into our team and culture. As an Allied Health group, we are dedicated to the development of our people and will work to help you to achieve your goals.
Something is happening here, and you’re invited to be part of it. Be TASMANIAN.
