
The Team:
Digital Health: The Bluegum Digital Health Transformation Program team is responsible for delivering the Digital Health Transformation Strategy, a 10-year program of work that aims to transform the state’s health system into a world-class, innovative and integrated system designed to empower consumers and enable healthcare professionals to deliver better patient outcomes through system-wide, digitally enabled technologies.
The Bluegum Digital Health Transformation Program, including the implementation of the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system, is essential for efficient delivery of frontline health services into the future. The program aims to significantly enhance healthcare for all people in Tasmania by creating a more connected and accessible health system, ensuring that all Tasmanians receive the care they need, in the right place, at the right time, ultimately improving health outcomes across the state.

The Role:
The Project Manager drives ICT projects within the Department of Health, aligning them with business goals and ICT strategies. Overseeing project plans, documentation, and communication, the role ensures the successful delivery of Digital Health and ICT solutions into live environments. By collaborating with business units, vendors, and stakeholders, the Project Manager identifies needs, implements change management, and delivers impactful solutions. Working closely with project sponsors, the role ensures timely delivery and seamless transition of ICT initiatives into operations.
You will need:
- Demonstrated ability to successfully lead projects for the implementation of complex information systems.
- High level strategic, conceptual, analytical, and creative skills.
- High level interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to liaise and negotiate effectively.
- Ability to prepare and produce detailed reports, briefings and other correspondence.

Details of appointment:
Permanent, full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.

Salary:
$128,102 to $134,832 per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022

- Appropriate tertiary qualifications in business management, ICT, information management, change management or another related discipline
- Relevant industry experience
- Current Driver’s Licence
Position Features:

- Intrastate and/or interstate travel may be required
