Join a dedicated team of admin staff supporting the Cardiology Department at the Royal Hobart Hospital, working collaboratively within the Department of Health to deliver high-quality care and vital health services to our community.
The Role:
As an Administrative Assistant in the Cardiology Department at the Royal Hobart Hospital, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of timely, high-quality patient care. Working as part of a collaborative team, you will provide essential administrative support to medical and nursing staff, manage patient information and appointments, and ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the department.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing clerical support, including patient bookings, records management, and correspondence.
- Managing reception duties and enquiries with professionalism and confidentiality.
- Supporting clinical teams by coordinating information and maintaining accurate data in hospital systems

Details of appointment:
Permanent part time, day worker position, working 28 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.
Daily working hours fall between 8:00am and 5:06pm. Examples shift times are 8:00am to 4:06pm or 9:00am to 5:06pm
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary: $66,049 to $70,993 pro rata per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022
