
The Role:
Provide clinical nursing leadership in contemporary gynaecological health practices, including advanced nursing care within the scope of practice and other relevant legislation.
Lead innovation and research within Gynaecology Services to improve clinical outcomes and develop and implement clinical policy and guidelines for the service areas, undertaking professional principles, systems and processes that may be shared with other specialist professions and executive management.
Identify improvements in the care coordination and service accessibility within the Gynaecology Services area and lead the development and implementation of system changes and service improvements to support care coordination in consultation with key stakeholders.
As an integral member of a multidisciplinary team, provide authoritative clinical expertise and support in the provision of clinical advice and interventions as well as coordinating services to women across the continuum of gynaecology care.
You will need:
- Comprehensive knowledge and demonstrated clinical expertise in the speciality of gynaecology and women’s health, including the ability to apply principles of best practice to the clinical setting through the development and implementation of appropriate clinical guidelines.
- Demonstrated highly developed interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills with the ability to provide expert advice and support to staff, patients and their families, along with competency in developing, maintaining and promoting positive partnerships and relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proven ability to plan, implement and evaluate education sessions for staff, patients and their families in gynaecology care, together with the ability to educate and influence a broad range of stakeholders including health professionals and consumers.

Details of appointment:
Permanent, full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary: $114,851 to $121,886 per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
- Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10 % based on qualification type
