Home Help Personal Carer – Casual – Multiple Positions
Tasmanian Health Service – West Coast Community Services
To be Tasmanian is to value quality over quantity. We create, preserve, and protect the unusual. With quiet confidence, with passion and perseverance, we pursue the extraordinary.
You could be a Home Help Personal Carer anywhere in the world. But working on the West Coast, you’ll understand the impact you make every day. It’s an exciting and rewarding place to work and you will make a valuable contribution to a small community while enjoying the lifestyle of a rugged and remote landscape. Our remoteness helps drive a culture of invention and human connection, which feels both old fashioned and… like the only future worth pursuing. Here you’ll be spoilt for choice when it comes to breath-taking coastlines, National Parks or award-winning fresh produce – all right on your doorstep. Whether you love mountain bike riding, bush walking or exploring history, the West Coast offers so many amazing experiences.
The West Coast Community Services help promote re-enablement and independence to the West Coast Communities by providing personal care, home care and clinical services. While our centre is located in Rosebery, we provide care in the community for clients living throughout the West Coast of Tasmania, including Queenstown, Rosebery, Strahan, Zeehan, Tullah, and many smaller communities across the West Coast.
Rosebery Community Health Centre is a place where Home Help Personal Carers work closely with the Community Nursing team to serve our community members across the west coast. Here, you are encouraged to be your authentic self, to pursue your passions, and to bring your own unique characteristics into our team.
We are small enough in Tasmania for you to shape and influence your work and make a real difference every day. Yet we are big enough for you to feel part of something important, somewhere you can belong and be surrounded by diversity, innovation, and friendships. We’ll look after you from the very beginning, ensure you are fully inducted and welcomed into our team and culture.
The Department of Health are seeking suitably motivated applicants for the role of Home Help Personal Carer to work across the Tasmanian West Coast region.
You’ll need to work well on your own, but also be able to connect and work with your team and other key people when needed.
You should be committed to giving great service to clients and be confident in spotting problems early and finding practical ways to solve them
You’ll need to be comfortable working in different settings and adapting to changing needs. This role covers the entire West Coast of Tasmania—including Queenstown, Strahan, Zeehan, Rosebery, and nearby areas—so regular travel across the region is required
