
The Team:
The Care@home team is part of the Department of Health (DOH) and is dedicated to enhancing the health and well-being of the Tasmanian community. This state-wide interdisciplinary service remotely supports patients in managing their illnesses and chronic conditions from their homes using virtual care technologies. The team collaborates closely with various healthcare providers, to deliver excellence in healthcare, achieving improved outcomes for consumers, the workforce, and the broader Tasmanian community
The Role:
The Nurse Manager Care@Home provides leadership for the Care@Home program and ensures the efficient and effective provision of care, based on clinical standards and best practice principles within a collaborative and multidisciplinary framework by coordinating the clinical, management, education, and nursing research functions within the Care@Home program.
You will need:
- Demonstrated advanced knowledge, skills, and experience in managing complex clinical environments.
- Comprehensive knowledge of and experience in contemporary nursing management practice, including clinical governance; clinical risk management; evidenced based practice; research; clinical standards; ethics; and legislation.
- Individuals will demonstrate capability to promote a shared vision and purpose and positively influence others (internally and externally) to ensure optimal client outcomes and build a culture of success, commitment, and active contribution by all staff within the practice area.

Details of appointment:
Permanent full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary: $122,365 to $129,060 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
- Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10% based on qualification type

- Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse
- Current Working with Children Registration
