Job description:

As a member of the Department of Health (DoH) IT Service Centre, the IT Technician provides first point of contact support and resolution up to second level support to clients for IT Client Services and work collaboratively within and across teams and with stakeholders to meet agreed priorities and branch service standards.

The Role:

As a member of the Department of Health (DoH) IT Service Centre, the IT Technician:

  • Provides first point of contact support and resolution up to second level support to clients for IT Client Services including:
    • Incident resolution.
    • Ticket logging.
    • Follow-up to completion.
  • Escalates issues through IT Support teams as required.
  • The scope of work is defined by the operational priorities of the assigned business unit, and the role works collaboratively within and across teams and with stakeholders to meet agreed priorities and branch service standards.

You will need:

  • Demonstrated experience in delivering technology-based solutions, excellent customer service and accurate technical support within a fast paced and complex work environment.
  • Demonstrated capacity to work collaboratively within a team and to foster understanding and learning. 
  • Well-developed listening, speaking and written communication skills including the capacity to provide clear advice and technical instructions to a broad range of stakeholders and customers.

Details of appointment:

Permanent full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.

Hours for the IT Service Centre are 7.00am - 7.00pm/Monday - Friday. The ability to work a 7.6 hour day in any of the rostered groups is essential.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.

Salary: $66,049 to $94,263 per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

  • Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022

Eligibility:

Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable:

  • Appropriate qualifications in ICT or related discipline
  • Industry recognised certifications
  • Current Driver’s Licence
