
The Team:
Administrative Assistants at the Royal Hobart Hospital, part of the Tasmanian Health Service, play a vital role in supporting clinical and specialist services. These professionals provide high-level administrative and clerical support across various departments. Their responsibilities include managing patient records, scheduling appointments, coordinating communication between medical staff and patients, and ensuring the smooth operation of daily hospital functions.
Working within a multidisciplinary team, Administrative Assistants contribute to the hospital’s commitment to delivering high-quality healthcare. They are known for their strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to handle sensitive information with discretion. The Role:
Provide high level reception duties to support the Statewide Audiology Services. Undertake administrative and organisational duties associated with the daily activities of the office, including ensuring an efficient flow of information to and from the office and communicating effectively as required with a wide range of staff and patients
You will need:
- Organise and schedule meetings as required, including preparing and circulating agendas. Attend to any administrative matters arising from such meetings.
- Support a variety of databases within established processes and procedures relating to a range of business and activity issues by accurately recording and updating information.
- Coordinate and prioritise multiple administrative tasks including undertaking high level receptionist duties in a fast paced and changing office environment.

Details of appointment:
2 permanent part time, day worker positions, each working 45.98 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary: $66,049 to $70,993 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022.
