Period of employment / Hours:
Permanent full-time (76.00 hours per fortnight) day work (part-time hours may be considered by negotiation)

Duties:
Primary Purpose / Focus :
This is a senior officer role within the Data Management and Reporting Services branch, requiring experience in strategic analysis and demonstrated ability to think critically with excellent analytical, conceptual, financial modelling, presentation, and personal management skills to provide evidence-based high-level advice about Tasmania’s housing and homelessness system.
The Senior Housing Advisor, as part of the Data Management and Reporting Services unit, will inform and develop internal and external reporting for recommendation to senior management, the Homes Tasmania Board, government agencies and policy colleagues across Australia and provide advice on strategic performance and reporting matters.
Skills and experience :
Selection criteria includes:
- Highly developed financial modelling and data analysis expertise, including conceptual and analytical skills to interpret data to find meaningful and actionable insights, including accuracy and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated knowledge, or ability to quickly acquire an understanding of, housing and homelessness policies, including an understanding of the complex social and economic factors that impact on Tasmania’s housing market and the development of affordable housing options, together with the provision of housing and homelessness services.
- Highly developed time management skills, with demonstrated ability to work quickly under pressure, often according to complex rules and procedures, and be adaptive to change.

Desirable Requirements:
- Current Driver’s Licence.
- Satisfactory completion of an appropriate course of study from a recognised tertiary institution.
