The Role:
The Clinical Nurse Specialist - Data Coordinator is an experienced nurse who, within the defined area of practice:

Works in partnership with the relevant clinical leader and/or manager to ensure accurate and timely data is captured from multiple information systems.

Provides expert clinical interpretation and analysis of this data to prepare reports, dashboards, and improvement plans that inform decision-making and drive efficiency across perioperative services.

Leads the translation of data insights into practical strategies that enhance service delivery, improve patient outcomes, and contribute to the ongoing improvement of care for Tasmanians.
You will need:
- Demonstrated clinical experience in the relevant practice area, with the capacity to provide clinical leadership, exercise professional judgement and initiative, and work with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrated ability and knowledge in data extraction, analysis and report development.
- Demonstrated ability to contribute to the evaluation, innovation and development of services provided by the unit/service and the review of clinical practice policy, procedures and protocols.

Details of appointment:
Permanent, part time, day worker position, working up to 60.8 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary: $106,570 to $112,440 per annum pro rata. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
- Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10% based on qualification type

- Holds, or is working towards, relevant postgraduate qualifications
- Experience in either surgical, burns, oncology, critical care or emergency nursing
- Experience in data management or within a clinical research environment
