- Ward 5D is a 32-bed General Medicine Ward with a specialised focus on Haematology and Oncology care, including the delivery of inpatient cancer therapies. We proudly serve patients and their families from across the North and North West of Tasmania, providing comprehensive inpatient services in oncology, haematology, and radiation oncology.

The Role:
Join Our Compassionate Oncology Team.
Are you an Enrolled Nurse with a passion for delivering high-quality, patient-centred care in a supportive and dynamic team environment?
Ward 5D is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Enrolled Nurse to join our inpatient oncology unit. In collaboration with the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) and the broader multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to comprehensive nursing assessments, care planning, and the coordinated delivery of services to our admitted patients.
As a valued member of our team, you will also have the opportunity to actively engage in teaching, quality improvement initiatives, and practice-based research—helping to shape and elevate the standard of care we provide.

You will need:
- Current registration with AHPRA as an Enrolled Nurse with a Medication Endorsement.
- Demonstrated clinical experience in acute care settings, with a strong interest or background in oncology, haematology, or general medicine is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a commitment to safe, accountable, and patient-centred care in a multidisciplinary environment.

Details of appointment:
Permanent part time, shift worker (fully rotational) position, working 40 hours per fortnight, commencing on a mutually agreed date.
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary: $70,980 to $78,179 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
- Post Graduate Allowance of up to 7.5% based on qualification type
