Job description:

Join the Bluegum Health Transformation—Tasmania’s landmark digital health initiative. As a Recruitment Specialist, you’ll lead end-to-end recruitment across IT and digital roles, partner with stakeholders, and help shape a future-ready workforce for a more connected, person-centred health system.

We are currently seeking a Recruitment Specialist to support the Bluegum Health Transformation—a statewide initiative revolutionising healthcare in Tasmania through innovative digital solutions and system-wide change.

Bluegum is building a more connected, person-centred, sustainable, and efficient health system that meets the evolving needs of all Tasmanians.  This project will build an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system that is fit for purpose for the Tasmanian Health System.

As a Recruitment Specialist, you’ll deliver trusted, end-to-end recruitment services and your recruitment expertise will help attract the talent needed to bring this transformative vision to life.

What you will be doing:

  • You will be recruiting to a wide range of roles across various IT and Digital Transformation specialties that will support the Bluegum Health Transformation project.
  • Delivering end-to-end recruitment which will involve advertising roles, participating in recruitment panels, scribing selection reports and building hiring manager capability to support effective and future-focused workforce outcomes.
  • Working in a true partnering role and fostering strong relationships with stakeholders to deliver the required recruitment outcomes for the project.
  • Thinking outside the box to find the top talent this project requires.
  • Supporting effective job design, including Statements of Duties reviews, analysis of workforce needs, market conditions, and advice on role structures and classification.

What you will need:

  • Significant expertise and demonstrated knowledge of contemporary recruitment and selection practices, including the use of innovative sourcing strategies, digital platforms, and technology to enhance candidate experience and attract quality talent in a competitive market.
  • Demonstrated experience in partnering with stakeholders to support job design, with the ability to analyse workforce needs, shape role requirements, and provide expert advice on role structure, classification, and capability alignment to optimise organisational outcomes.
  • Proven capacity to operate with significant autonomy, effectively determine priorities, manage and identify appropriate approaches within established systems and employment frameworks that align with organisational objectives.
  • Demonstrated proven ability to lead, coach, and mentor others in the application of contemporary, best-practice recruitment methodologies.

Details of appointment:

Fixed term, full time, day worker position working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible for a 12 month period.

*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Salary: Health and Human Services General Stream Band 6

  • $107,899 to $122,292 per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
  • Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022
