Job description:

The Senior Project Consultant works within a dynamic and collaborative team at the Department of Health Tasmania, focused on providing advice and support with the initiation of strategic health initiatives across the state.

The Team:

The Senior Project Consultant works within a dynamic and collaborative team at the Department of Health Tasmania, focused on providing advice and support with the initiation of strategic health initiatives across the state. The team acts as a strategic and operational link between clinical and administrative units and Health ICT.  By fostering strong partnerships and translating evolving healthcare needs into secure, sustainable technology solutions, the BRM ensures ICT initiatives enhance efficiency and support high-quality healthcare for all Tasmanians.

The Role:

The Senior Project Consultant is responsible for providing specialist advice and consultancy services to support hospitals and health services in navigating the ICT procurement processes including, but not limited to, the development of initiative briefs, proposals and other project initiation documentation as required.

You will need to:

  • Provide high-level consultancy services, working collaboratively with stakeholders to achieve concept development, project initiation activities, technology procurement and submission of work requests, ensuring alignment with Health ICT processes and digital health goals.
  • Build and maintain sound relationships with key stakeholders in hospitals and health services and promote understanding of the complex health service environment and service delivery channels.
  • Provide expert advice and high-level support to stakeholders on the development of initiative briefs and proposals by undertaking complex analysis and research tasks that considers business context, requirements, priorities, processes, people, information/data, and technology implications.

Details of appointment:

Permanent full time, day worker, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.

*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.

Salary: $107,899 to $122,292 per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

  • Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022.
