The Team:
The Podiatry team is based in the Northern Integrated Care Centre adjacent to the Launceston General Hospital (LGH). We service the central north and north east of Tasmania. Clinics are held in rural hospitals and community centres as well as in the LGH and ambulatory care clinics. We are a vibrant team, with a high risk foot service as well as Muscular skeletal podiatry and practice the full scope of podiatry. Opportunities exist to further grow your clinical practice in a supportive environment and be involved with our ongoing research project.
The Role:
- Provide a high standard of podiatric service to patients in the Northern District.
- Work within a multidisciplinary team to build on community capacity for enhancing the health of individuals, groups and the community.
- As a member of Podiatry North provide support to an integrated podiatry/foot health service
You will need:
- Extensive experience as a practicing Podiatrist, including proven experience in developing and delivering community based podiatry programs.
- Demonstrated commitment to and understanding of the principles and processes of primary health care, health promotion and community development.
- Demonstrated high level communication, negotiation, advocacy, conflict resolution and interpersonal skills, including the ability to apply such skills within a multidisciplinary team environment.
- A demonstrated ability to initiate and contribute to quality improvement programs and undertake research and evaluation projects.
- Ability to coordinate and monitor podiatry services within a multidisciplinary team.
- Competence in computer applications including the use of word processing, data bases and web based resources.

Details of appointment:
Permanent full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as you can join our team.
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary: $110,425 to $121,907 per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance with Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Union Wages Agreement 2022.

You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.

- Please note that access to salaries beyond $119,290 is subject to qualifications and/or application to the personal upgrade scheme
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
- Professional Development Allowance of up to $1000 per annum

Eligibility:
Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria.
- Tertiary qualification/program of study approved by the Podiatry Board of Australia
- Registered with the Podiatry Board of Australia
Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable:
- Current Driver’s Licence
- Five or more years clinical podiatry experience or demonstrated ability to work in a senior position.
