Job description:

Join the Asset Management Unit as a motivated Manager and play a key role in ensuring that built infrastructure supports both current and future health service delivery needs.

The Team:

The Department of Health’s (DoH) Infrastructure - Asset Management Unit, is responsible for the statewide lifecycle management of the complex and critical built infrastructure that supports the delivery of health services in Tasmania.

The Role:

The Manager will implement and apply an Asset Management Systems approach to ensure that built infrastructure is managed to meet current and future health service delivery needs. The position provides asset management advice to operational Facilities and Engineering Teams across the state and supports these teams in the implementation of statewide initiatives.

You will need to:

  • Lead improvement to the Department’s Asset Management maturity through implementing an Asset Management Systems Approach, aligned to the International Infrastructure Management Manual (IIMM) and the ISO55000 suite of standards.
  • Manage the implementation and operation of statewide initiatives such as the Asset Information Management System and Maintenance Management System, statewide maintenance contracts.
  • Undertake detailed asset condition assessments, identifying priority works based on risk assessments and develop a delivery program that meets legal, regulatory and contractual, DoH and Infrastructure requirements.

Details of appointment:

Permanent full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.

*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Salary: $139,470 to $148,863 per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

  • Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022.
