Period of employment / Hours:
Fixed term full-time day work (part-time hours may be considered by negotiation) commencing ASAP for a period of 6 months.

Duties:
Primary Purpose / Focus :
This is a senior officer role within the Housing Policy and Programs branch, requiring extensive experience in state government procurement processes and demonstrated ability to manage complex tendering activities in line with the Treasurer’s Instructions and relevant procurement frameworks.
The Senior Procurement Officer, as part of the Commissioning Unit, will support the delivery of multiple procurement processes over a six-month period by ensuring quality assurance of tender documentation, maintaining probity, overseeing evaluation processes, and providing specialist advice on procurement risks and compliance to achieve consistent and transparent procurement outcomes.
Skills and experience :
Selection criteria includes:
- Demonstrated ability to provide timely and accurate advice, recommendations and solutions to senior managers and colleagues on relevant issues across the spectrum of their responsibilities.
- Significant knowledge and experience in state government procurement, including demonstrated understanding of the Treasurer’s Instructions, probity requirements, and the ability to develop tender documentation and processes that meet compliance obligations.
- Highly developed time management skills and the demonstrated ability, both individually and as a member of a team, to plan, organise, set priorities, and complete tasks to meet deadlines.
