
The Team:
Mental Health Services South delivers services in both inpatient and community settings. We employ a range of Allied Health Professionals, including Social Workers, Occupational Therapists and Psychologists to deliver evidence based interventions to our consumers.
The Role:
This position is to appoint Allied Health Professionals to our casual pool, from which contracts or casual work may be offered. This may be in either community or inpatient settings, and includes in Peacock Centre, which has an Integration Hub and a Safe Haven. Various roles may include day work or shift work and allow applicants to develop skills in a variety of settings.
You will need:
- A minimum of two years’ post-graduate employment in a clinical area directly applicable to the Adult Mental Health area, with a demonstrated clinical knowledge and understanding of mental health, including the ability to provide appropriate assessment of mental health problems.
- Demonstrated expertise in the theoretical and practical application of a range of therapeutic interventions relevant to Adult Mental Health Services, with the ability to acquire further expertise into the future.
- Experience and demonstrated knowledge and skills in relation to liaison and consultation with other services and agencies in the context of optimising effective and efficient service provision, advice and training and continuity of care.

Details of appointment:
Fixed term, casual, position working as and when required, commencing as soon as possible for approximately 24 months.
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary: $110,425 to $121,907 per annum pro rata. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
Plus 25% Casual Loading - Equivalent of $69.58 to $76.82 per hour.
- Salary range is in accordance with Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement No. 2 of 2022

Eligibility:
Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria.
- Satisfactory completion of an approved allied health professional tertiary qualification/program of study and registered with the relevant National Board or, in the case of self-regulated allied health professions, full membership/eligible for membership with the relevant professional association
- Current Working with Children Registration
Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable:
- Minimum of 2 years post graduate experience in an area relevant to the role
- Postgraduate qualification or working towards a postgraduate qualification relevant to the role
- Current Driver’s Licence
