Job description:

Provide operational leadership and management to the Integrated Operations Centre which supports daily delivery of services across the northwest.

The Team:

The Nursing Director, Integrated Operations is a senior leadership position within Hospitals North West reporting directly to the Executive Director Operations and Performance.

The primary purpose of the role is to provide operational leadership and management of the Integrated Operations Centre which supports daily delivery of services provisioned through each of the clinical streams of Hospitals North West including the North West Regional Hospital (NWRH), Mersey Community Hospital (MCH), and Primary Health services.

The role centres on the management of Patient Flow & Access across the whole North West system and health service network.

The Role:

Provide a high level of senior operational leadership to identify opportunities and implement change processes, including human resourcing, service delivery models and structural and operational changes required for the delivery of high quality and seamless care. 

You will need 

  • A strong set of adaptive leadership skills to support the day to day senior management and leadership of the hospital and primary care system through the Integrated Operations Centre.
  • The ability to work under pressure from a local and statewide level in an environment subject to sustained pressures and rapid change.
  • The ability to support peers and managers in day to day workforce challenges and act on the organisations behalf to represent the needs of the North West Region from a clinical and operational point of view at critical statewide meetings.

Details of appointment:

Permanent, full time, day worker (with on-call) position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing from 16 February 2026. 

*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Salary: $144,146 per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

  • Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.

Access to the Grade 4 salary range $99,455- $105,995 is subject to successful application for progression to Grade 4

In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:

  • Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10 % based on qualification type

  • Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse
