At Launceston General Hospital (LGH), our Food Services team plays an essential role in delivering high-quality meals and nutrition to patients, staff, and visitors — contributing directly to patient wellbeing and comfort. You’ll work with a dedicated group of people who take pride in what they do, support each other, and strive to deliver excellent food service in a respectful and inclusive environment. LGH is a cornerstone of health care in northern Tasmania, serving the local community with care and professionalism every day. Working here means being part of a respected organisation with a strong focus on Compassion, Accountability, Respect and Excellence — values that guide everything we do.

The Role:

Ensure integrity of all cash handled within the Department by way of pre-set protocols.
  3. Organise and coordinate staff resources by maintaining rosters, records, and timesheets.  Coordinate and allocate casual pool staff to all areas under Food Services jurisdiction, including identifying training requirements.

You will need

  1. Proven ability to manage staffing resources within Departmental guidelines, with substantial experience in the direction and supervision of large numbers of staff.
