Job description:

Coordinate and deliver high-level administrative support as a Program Support Officer for the Hospital in the Home (HITH) service, working closely with clinical leadership. Manage key operational functions including patient flow, financial processes, payroll, data systems, and resource allocation.

The Team

Hospital in The Home’s sole purpose is to provide exceptional hospital level health care and ongoing support to the residents of Northern Tasmania to negate the need for hospitalisation in our mainstream facility and enable patients to remain in their own home and community under the watchful/vigilant eye of a dedicated health team which includes Medical Staff Specialists, Senior Medical Registrars, Nurse Unit Manager, Associate Nurse Unit Managers, Nurse Practitioners, Registered Nurses, and Allied Health professionals (incorporating Senior Social Workers, Senior Physiotherapists and Senior Occupational Therapists) .

The Role

  • Will coordinate and undertake administrative operational matters for the Hospital in the Home service in conjunction with the Nurse Unit Manager and the Head of Department.
  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to Hospital in the Home clinical staff as required.
  • Manage material resources and a range of high-level administrative tasks to support the Hospital in the Home service relating to financial processes, payroll, iPM, patient flow, data input, clinical and administrative stock management across the Hospital in the Home operational site in Northern Tasmania and manage fleet vehicle access and bookings.

Details of appointment

Permanent, full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing from a mutually agreed upon date.

Salary

$76,849 to $82,996 per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

  • Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2025.

Eligibility
