Job description:

The Senior Project Manager is a key supporting role to the Executive Director – Community & Wellbeing (EDCW) in the development, planning and implementation of assigned projects within the EDCW portfolio.

The Team:

The Senior Project Manager is a key supporting role to the Executive Director – Community & Wellbeing (EDCW) in the development, planning and implementation of assigned projects within the EDCW portfolio. 

The Role:

As a member of the Office of Executive Director of Community and Wellbeing the Senior Project Manager is responsible for:

  • Managing and coordinating resources to deliver project outputs within time, cost and quality parameters,
  • Leading and planning activities to enable the effective delivery of projects,
  • Developing strategies and plans specific to the project/s.

You will need:

  • Extensive experience in project management with a proven understanding of contemporary project management, change and communications management, and business processes and practices to achieve outcomes
  • Proven leadership and people management skills
  • Highly developed interpersonal and oral communication skills, with a proven ability to negotiate, consult, liaise, manage conflict, and develop effective partnerships with staff, management, and key stakeholders
  • Proven ability to produce high level professional business documentation, including the development of accurate and timely briefings and business cases, to inform decision making and progress complex technology-related governance, policy and change management challenges

Details of appointment:

Permanent, full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing 2 April 2026.

*Notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.

Salary: $139,470 to $148,863 per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

  • Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Union Wages Agreement 2022.

Eligibility:

Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable:

  • Satisfactory completion of an appropriate course of study from a recognized tertiary institution, such as, Project Management, Business Management, ICT, Information Management, or related discipline
  • Current Driver’s License
