About the Role
As a Senior Data Analyst this role leads the design, development and maintenance of data within various information systems. There is a focus on establishing data-driven evidence base to inform strategic decision-making. Additionally, the role will contribute to continuous improvements to data quality and ensuring that data is accurate and accessible. It suits professionals with strong expertise in data and systems management, advanced analytical and conceptual skills, and the ability to translate complex information into clear insights. High level communication, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills are essential, along with the capacity to work independently and lead others.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead information management activities with assigned business unit/s members, working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, to enable quality business outcomes that meet business need.
- Lead and coordinate information management activities within Homes Tasmania that involve business and/or corporate systems using various project management frameworks including Agile, Prince2, PM-BOK and Tasmanian Government as required.
- Lead the ongoing technical development and maintenance of Homes Tasmania information management holdings.
- Lead and support the design, development, implementation of information management activities by actively engaging key stakeholder to document business need.
- Undertake system and information analysis, including information and financial modelling, review, and design to support various Homes Tasmania initiatives, including requirements specifications.
- Manage data sharing activities to ensure ongoing compliance with legislative requirements, policy frameworks and service agreements
What We’re Looking For
Skills & Experience
- Demonstrated extensive experience and understanding in -
- data, information, and systems management as it pertains to planning, service system development, program design, performance monitoring and evaluation.
- applications development, data administration and the technical environment, including systems integration.
- Demonstrated high level ability to review, design, develop and work with complex database systems, metadata, and standards, including the ability to develop extraction scripts and extract, manipulate, interrogate and present data and information.
- Proven experience and expertise in employment of management techniques to enable the provision of quality reporting and information management activities, with ability to exercise flexibility and innovative in responding to issues to achieve quality business outcomes.

Desirable Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of recent industry experience.
- Working towards or successful completion of qualifications relevant to the role.
Mandatory Requirements
- Current Tasmanian Working with Vulnerable People Registration (Employment type).
- Ability to satisfy pre-employment checks including:
- Conviction checks (violence, sex offences, drugs, dishonesty, serious traffic offences)
- Identification verification
- Employment disciplinary history
Location & Hours
- Employment Type: Permanent full-time (76 hours per fortnight)
- Work Type: Day work; part-time hours may be considered
- Location: Statewide – specific location negotiable with the successful applicant
