Job description:

Multiple Permanent positions - We are seeking a suitably qualified Associate Nurse Unit Managers (ANUM) to join the Huon Community and Health Centre team.

The Team:

This position offers a diverse and rewarding opportunity to contribute to health and community care through collaborative teamwork across four sites. You’ll work within multidisciplinary teams and maintain strong partnerships with the Huon and Kingborough Councils, as well as other key stakeholders, all committed to enhancing care, wellness, and reablement outcomes in partnership with our consumers.

The role provides and participates in clinical care and support to the Huon and Kingston Community Nursing teams, assists Bruny Island Community Nursing as required, and supports consumers, community members, and healthcare professionals attending our facilities or community appointments.

Located in the scenic Huon Valley—renowned for its National Parks, World Heritage areas, and the picturesque Huon River and D’Entrecasteaux Channel—our Huon and Cygnet Community Health Centres work closely with all services in the region. Together, we are dedicated to delivering excellence in healthcare and achieving improved outcomes for our consumers, our workforce, and the broader Tasmanian community.

The Role:

As a valued member of a multidisciplinary team committed to delivering high-quality health services, the Associate Nurse Unit Manager plays a key role in ensuring effective client care and staffing operations for community and clinic clients.

The role contributes to the continuous improvement processes, client care, monitors staff allocation skill mix and client complexity to ensure the smooth delivery of services and a positive experience for both staff and community clients.

You will need:

  • Demonstrated clinical experience in the relevant practice area, with the capacity to provide clinical leadership, exercise professional judgement and initiative and work with minimal supervision. 
  • Demonstrated ability to understand the business of the unit/service in delivering the best outcomes within available resources, including a demonstrated understanding of patient flow principles and discharge planning in the pursuit of patient/client goals within a contemporary healthcare framework.
  • Demonstrated ability to contribute to the evaluation, innovation and development of services provided by the unit/service and the review of clinical practice policy, procedures and protocols.

Details of appointment:

Multiple, permanent, part time, shift worker positions (fully rotational), working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.

*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.

Salary: $109,767 to $115,813 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

  • Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.

In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:

  • Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10% based on qualification type

Eligibility:

  • Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse
