Job description:

We have an exciting opportunity for a driven individual who can quickly form strong relationships with clinical teams and support them to proactively promote their service activities and events.

THS North West is seeking a communications all-rounder to assist and work within the Media and Communications Unit.

We are looking for a dynamic person who can write and who can organise people to achieve outcomes. A flexible role is available for a driven individual who can quickly form strong relationships with clinical teams and support them to proactively promote their service activities and events.

Within this context, individuals with digital experience including video production, photography or social media would be warmly received but training will be provided to the right candidate.

The Role:

Under the general direction of the THS North West Media and Communications Manager, the Public Relations and Event Management Coordinator will assist with communication and public relations activities that support the objects of the Tasmanian Health Service. This includes the production of publications, online content, media materials, campaign and promotional materials as well as providing strategic communications advice and support.

Details of appointment:

Permanent, part time, day worker position, working 60.8 hours per fortnight, commencing from 24 August 2026.

*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Position Features: Intrastate travel is a requirement of this role.

Salary: $98,255 to $103,069 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

  • Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022.

Eligibility:
