Permanent full-time (76.00 hours per fortnight) day work (part-time hours may be considered by negotiation)

Duties:

Primary Purpose / Focus :

In accordance with Homes Tasmania’s service delivery policies, principles and standards the Client Support Coordinator will:
  • Ensure appropriate intervention strategies are identified for at-risk clients.
  • Discuss options for at-risk clients and ensure that at-risk clients understand the options available and subsequent consequences regarding their tenancy.
  • Provide timely support through negotiation with support services.

Skills and experience :

Selection criteria includes:

  • Demonstrated considerable tenancy management experience and the ability to exercise independent judgement to respond to complex and multiple client issues.
  • Demonstrated competence in determining support needs, case work and intensive coordination and ability to make well informed decisions and recommendations to match services to client needs.
  • Demonstrated sound knowledge and understanding of the social, organisational, and political environment, in particular the issues impacting on the sector, with an understanding of the Homes Tasmania division, and services provided by Tenancy Services and other relevant service providers and referral options, or the ability to acquire such knowledge and understanding.

Desirable Requirements:

  • Current Driver’s Licence.
  • Satisfactory completion of an appropriate course of study from a recognised tertiary institution.
