Job description:

The Senior Data Analyst – Quality and Patient Safety supports high‑quality healthcare by providing expert clinical data analysis, meaningful reporting, and insights that improve patient safety, quality outcomes, compliance, and performance in line with organisational goals.

The Hospitals – North West Quality & Patient Safety Service coordinates and promotes Patient Safety Programs, Quality Improvement, Risk and Incident Management.

The Role:

The Senior Data Analyst – Quality and Patient Safety plays a key role in supporting the Quality and Patient Safety team to deliver high‑quality, accountable, and measurable healthcare outcomes. The role provides expert advice in clinical data and information management, delivers high‑quality data analytics and informatics services, and works closely with clinicians and stakeholders to promote effective use of data. The position is responsible for developing meaningful analysis and reporting mechanisms and producing regular reports that support patient safety, quality improvement, regulatory compliance, and performance monitoring in line with the Service’s strategic objectives.

  • Lead and manage quality and patient safety data and analytics
  • Develop and deliver high‑quality, fit‑for‑purpose reporting and insights
  • Build organisational capability in patient safety analytics

Details of appointment:

Permanent, part time, day worker position, working 38 hours per fortnight, commencing from a mutually agreed upon date.

*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Salary: $107,899 to $122,292 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

  • Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022
