Job description:

Provide coordination, support & training to clerical & clinical staff, to facilitate the expansion of Telehealth capability across Northern Tasmania The Northern Cancer Service (NCS) delivers specialist oncology and haematology care across Northern and North West Tasmania, including inpatient, outpatient and state-wide brachytherapy services. Services are provided across three sites (Launceston, Mersey, and North West Regional Hospital) with strong integration across medical, surgical and allied health teams to support person-centred cancer care.

The Team:

The Northern Cancer Service (NCS) delivers specialist oncology and haematology care across Northern and North West Tasmania, including inpatient, outpatient and state-wide brachytherapy services.

Services are provided across three sites (Launceston, Mersey, and North West Regional Hospital) with strong integration across medical, surgical and allied health teams to support person-centred cancer care.

The Role:

Provide coordination, support and training to clerical and clinical staff, to facilitate the expansion of Telehealth capability across the Northern Cancer Service and different Department of Health (DoH) care settings. Work with clinical staff to ensure the smooth operation of Telehealth clinics and/or services across the region, including support and monitoring of video conference sessions, assistance with equipment setup, training and bookings.

You will need to :

  • Provide high-level coordination of Telehealth services, including supporting clinicians and patients, managing attendance, and exercising initiative in decision-making.
  • Deliver accurate data entry and excellent customer-focused administrative and reception services while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Demonstrate collaborative communication and compliance with Department policies, including commitment to child safety, mandatory reporting, and required training.

Details of appointment:

Permanent, full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, to commence as soon as possible.

*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Salary: $85,196 to $97,915 per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

  • Salary range is in accordance with Health and Human Services (Tasmanian State Service) Award.
