Job description:

The small TasEquip team works together to achieve an efficient and effective service across the whole of the equipment loan cycle (procurement, commission, track, deliver, collect, return, clean, check and repair).

The Team:

TasEquip is a small statewide service.  We operate a loan scheme for eligible clients to loan equipment to discharge from hospital or to stay safely at home.  The equipment we manage includes but is not limited to commodes, walking aides, and hospital beds.

The small TasEquip team works together to achieve an efficient and effective service across the whole of the equipment loan cycle (procurement, commission, track, deliver, collect, return, clean, check and repair).   In addition to handling equipment the team deal with health professionals who request equipment and the patients who are our customers and their families.  

The Role:

  • The Senior Customer Service Officer works closely with the Team Leader to ensure that day to day operations of the TasEquip warehouse and office run efficiently and smoothly within the rules of the agency.  It offers the opportunity to work in a small team with the responsibility to help and support others as we delivery our services to the community.
  • The Senior Customer Service Officer both undertakes and supports the Customer Service Officer team to undertake a wide range of tasks including customer service, health professional liaison, office duties and equipment handling. The job is varied with no two days the same.

You will need:

  • Demonstrated capacity to work effectively and efficiently in an everchanging warehouse environment with the ability to solve problems to achieve set objectives and to meet deadlines, both individually and as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated experience in computerised financial systems and supporting applications such as office and inventory systems related to efficient warehouse operations.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written with high level interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to liaise effectively with all stakeholders and team members,

Details of appointment:

fixed term full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, includes occasional weekend on call, commencing as soon as possible until 31 December 2026.

*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.

Salary: $73,811 to $79,779 per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

  • Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022

You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible. 

In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
