This is an exciting opportunity to join the Quality & Patient Safety Service (Tasmanian Health Service – South), a dynamic multidisciplinary team based in Hobart’s CBD. The Role:
We are seeking a motivated Clinical Nurse Consultant - Patient Safety to join our team.
As a Clinical Nurse Consultant – Patient Safety, you will:
- Provide clinical leadership to support and enhance patient safety and quality improvement across the health service.
- Coordinate safety event monitoring, lead investigations into serious incidents and facilitate the implementation and evaluation of safety and quality initiatives.
- Work closely with clinical teams to promote evidence-based practice, manage patient feedback, analyse safety data, and deliver education and advice to drive continuous improvement and minimise patient harm.

Details of appointment:
Permanent full time, day worker position, working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as you can join our team!
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary:
$118,297 to $125,543 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
- Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10% based on qualification type
