Job description:

Join Launceston General Hospital Food Services in delivering nutritional meals to patients and staff in a supportive, faced paced team.

The Role:

  • Prepare and produce all food and nutritional requirements for patients and staff at the Launceston General Hospital (LGH) Cafeteria & food distribution, delivered meal recipients and satellite divisions. 
  • Able work as a part of a team but also as an individual 
  • Able to work in a busy environment safely and with focus on patients' needs at all times 
  • Working knowledge for food safety preferable

The Team 

  • The successful applicant will be working in a busy team environment with great cultures and patient focus. Our department works closely together to focus on delivering excellence in Food Services to achieve improved outcomes for LGH patients and community.
  • LGH Food Services provides meals to over 300 patients daily. (breakfast, lunch and dinner)

Details of Appointment

Fixed term, casual day worker, not working weekends but working public holidays, working as and when required, commencing as soon as possible for 12 months.

*notwithstanding hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant.

  • Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time and part time vacancies.

Salary: $73,811 to $79,779 per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.

  • Salary range is in accordance with Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022.
