Seeking a Senior Physiotherapist - Emergency Medical Unit to provide and maintain optimal specialist physiotherapy services within the Northern region of Tasmania. Provide professional guidance and support to level 1-2 Physiotherapists and support staff.

Senior Physiotherapist – AHP Level 3 – Emergency Medical Unit

Permanent part-time shift-work position working 56 hours per fortnight

Tasmanian Health Service – North (Launceston General Hospital)

You’ve established yourself in your craft, providing best-practice physiotherapy care to a range of patients, and sharing your skills with the team as you go.  And you could do this anywhere. What’s different about Tasmania is our culture and our lifestyle. Here you will be encouraged to be yourself, to continue to learn and grow, and to develop meaning in your work. You will have a powerful connection to your patients, and you’ll be a champion of our profession in multi-disciplinary, team-based environments. Our isolation helps drive a culture of creation and human connection, which feels both old fashioned and… like the only future worth pursuing.

We offer an exciting and rewarding place to work, featuring contemporary, evidence-informed practice that sees our Physiotherapists closely linked to the broader multidisciplinary team, both at work, and through our social activities. We are a team of some 80 staff, a mix of passionate locals and new Tasmanian adventurers who will welcome your energy and experiences into the group dynamic. Here, you can work and learn alongside highly accomplished Physios like Ianthe Boden, Jane Lockstone and John Cannell, while making a difference to the lives of a diverse and inclusive community.

Based predominantly in our Emergency Department; while sharing your expertise and teaching to our emerging therapists across our service, you will work alongside Kirby Tuckerman who would be happy to share her experience working in the health service and physio team: Kirby.Tuckerman@ths.tas.gov.au

As a team, we’ll be committed to seeing you thrive. We’ll look after you from the beginning, ensuring you are fully welcomed into our team and culture. As an Allied Health group, we are dedicated to the development of our people and will work to help you to achieve your goals.
