Salary
$89,610 + 12% superannuation + access to salary packaging
Period of Employment
Fixed-term, full-time working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing 4 January 2027 until 8 January 2029.
Please note the occupant will be required to work after-hours and weekend work.

What’s in it for you:
A refreshed 12‑month agreement
Effective from 2 August 2025, with negotiations for the next agreement already underway — offering stability and a clear path forward.
Salary increase of 3%
From the first full pay period on or after 1 January 2026:
- Medical Practitioner Level 1: $92,298 per annum
- Medical Practitioner Level 2: $98,133 per annum
Boosted Continuing Professional Development Allowance
From the first full pay period on or after 1 July 2026:
- Medical Practitioner Level 1: $1,093 per annum
- Medical Practitioner Level 2: $2,186 per annum
New North and North West Tasmanian Recruitment & Retention Allowance
Medical Practitioners (Levels 1–11) working in the North or North West will receive a $10,000 per annum allowance, paid fortnightly. This begins from the first full pay period after the agreement is registered and continues for the full term of the agreement.

- North West Regional Hospital and Mersey Community Hospital, includes rural rotations

Duties
While under supervision, responsible for strengthening the health outcomes of both inpatients and outpatients by managing their day to day care in partnership with the patient, their family, and other health professionals.
