The Aged Care Assessment Service (ACAS), part of the Tasmanian Health Service, works alongside older people in Southern Tasmania to understand their aged care needs through an aged care assessment. The team collaborates to support independence, wellbeing, and informed choice.

The Role:
Ensure smooth administrative and reception operations by effectively using software and office equipment, adhering to Agency policies and contributing positively to a collaborative team.
You will need:
- Knowledge of, and experience in, day‑to‑day office management, including providing administrative support in a professional environment and the use of a wide range of computer software packages such as My Aged Care, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, Technology One and other departmental systems.
- Demonstrated ability to exercise initiative, sound judgement and discretion in an administrative role, including identifying administrative issues and escalating them to management in accordance with established escalation pathways.
- Demonstrated experience in setting work priorities to meet deadlines and the capacity to work independently under general direction, using judgement to prioritise tasks within established guidelines, while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Details of appointment:
Permanent full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.
*Notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary:
$76,849 to $82,996 per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2025.
