Ward 5D is a 32-bed General Medicine Ward with a specialised focus on Haematology and Oncology care, including the delivery of inpatient cancer therapies. We proudly serve patients and their families from across the North and North West of Tasmania, providing comprehensive inpatient services in oncology, haematology, and radiation oncology.

The Role:
Are you a Registered Nurse with a strong commitment to patient-centred care and a passion for supporting the development of others?
Ward 5D is seeking a motivated and compassionate Clinical Coach to join our inpatient haematology and oncology unit. Working closely with the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) and multidisciplinary team, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality clinical care while guiding and supporting nursing staff through education, mentorship, and bedside coaching.
In this role, you will contribute to clinical excellence by facilitating learning opportunities, supporting evidence-based practice, and promoting high standards of care for our patients. You will also be involved in quality improvement initiatives and practice development activities that enhance both patient outcomes and staff capability.

The preferred candidate will bring:
- A current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse.
- Demonstrated experience in acute care, with an interest or experience in haematology, oncology, or general medicine.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for mentoring others and a commitment to safe, patient-centred care within a multidisciplinary team.

Details of appointment:
Multiple permanent, part time, shift worker positions, working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as you can join us!
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary: $102,439 to $109,175 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
- Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10% based on qualification type.

Eligibility:
Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria.
Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable:
- Minimum of 4 years clinical experience in the relevant practice setting.
- Relevant postgraduate qualifications appropriate to the clinical area.
- Membership with the relevant professional organisation (e.g.: Australian College of Nursing, Australian College of Midwives, ACORN, ACCCN).
